Sizing seems to be on the larger side and padding is way too nominal. don’t reckon it can protect at speeds more that 40-50 km per hour.

I recommend buying a size down…normally wear a generous and the ordinary is exact. Use them for mountain biking…material breathes well for long climbs, and padding is well placed and spread well throughout hip and tail bone areas…excellent coverage (but note that they do not have crotch padding like cycling shorts). There are thicker padded shorts out there, but they are heavier. These are fantastic for hotter weather and for long climbs previous to descents. Haven’t crashed in them yet so can’t attest to protection strength (hence the 4 stars), but highly recommended in general based on several rides.

I use it for long rides. so I need something that I can use the hole day. my country is very hot and that is something to take very much in consideration when choosing whatever thing. this is exact for me!!

the best protection you can buy is the one you can really use when you have to. this is it. I have to say that I haven’t lay the bike yet so I can’t tell you how they go during a fall. hopefully I’ll never know.
