    Blow tested!, November 20, 2012
    By
    shazam (Los Angeles) –

I was thrown off my dirt bike a few weeks ago while wearing this helmet. As I was bouncing on the cement, I could specifically feel my head being softly cushioned by this helmet. I received 5 broke ribs, broken collar bone, and shoulder blade – but my brain was intact (I reckon)!
I am going to order a substitution helmet of this same develop when my bike is repaired later this month.
Long tale small – highly recommended!! I’ve seen helmets ranging from $30 to $600+, this one has everything you need, plus the built-in sun visor is nice to have.

For the price, you really can’t beat what’s included!, December 11, 2012

When looking for my first bike helmet, I knew I didn’t want to break the bank, but I knew I wanted to be protected. I compared a lot of brands, top names to no names, features to sensibleness, and this one just kept number one. I went to places and tried on helmets, so it was a risk buying this without any place nearly here in Houston that sold this brand. But I went to the GMAX site, measured my head and it came in and fit like a glove.

    Looks:
Very sharp, very quality-made. The not glossy-black, which is the one I got, is very nice looking and really holds up against finger marks surpass than the some of the higher end SHOEI ones. The rear LED light is a nice feature, looks stream-lined when not on, but a huge plus when doing early morning/night rides.

    Fit:
I’m 5’9″ and male, 180 pounds and the Ordinary fit perfectly. Granted, everyone’s heads is different, so don’t go by just my specs. If you go to their website, which isn’t that fantastic since it’s more a foreign-based company, you’ll see a size chart that’s very simple to follow and pretty much spot on. The fit was snug, but comfortable. The lining is all removable and felt like high quality stuff, which took me by bolt from the blue for the price. Mesh, breathable, comfortable… the pro’s kept coming

    Features:
The snap-on, tool-less removable clear and tint visor is a huge plus and nice feature. It has so many vents, you’ll spend your time being OCD trying to choose the right configuration. For me, I found if you make sure to leave the top two forehead vents open, the fog will be less. I covered the LED light, so that’s there. The modular aspect is nice for needing to talk to someone, gas rank visits, etc. Feels real smooth lifting up the modular cut, and real strong snap when locking it back. It has a nice wide chin strap that adds to securing the helmet and coverage. It has the inner tint visor which is an awesome feature. And when looking at the next brand I was considering, SHOEI’s neotec, they JUST added that inner visor for a primo price… so ya…

    Pros:
Looks fantastic (Not glossy black version), fits fantastic, awesome features, pretty ridiculous price for what’s offered, overall fantastic helmet
    Cons:
I noticed the inner visor’s pull mechanism for bringing it down and up seems a small on the flimsy side, so not sure how long that will hold up with repeated use. The clear visor will fog up with breath, not terrible, and you can set it at surpass angles to avoid it more, but it seems to fog just a small, not helping their claimed “fog-free” skill.

    Synopsis:
In the end, fantastic helmet, fantastic price, fantastic looks, fantastic features, can’t beat it for what’s offered. Will buy from them again for a back up helmet.

    Comfortable fit, August 14, 2012

    Verified Buy(What’s this?)
I aint gonna lie, I was gonna buy me a blue tooth helmet and I screwed up and bought this one. Well, I’m really pleased with this helmet and I chose to just add blue tooth to it. I ride a cruiser and I my face was too pretty to bump rocks and bugs. I wanted a modular helmet, and this one works fantastic.

My only issue, one of the vent covers popped off when I pulled it out of the bag, but it snapped back on.

I need some anti-fogging solution for the visor, kinda gets terrible on cold mornings.

I ordered a XL, and it fits comfortable.

Inside pads come out straightforwardly to be washed.

My face stays pretty when bugs die on my visor.

5 stars-fantastic helmet, and I would buy another.
