Solid protection with fantastic comfort., June 1, 2014

New to mountain biking and wanted some protection on the trails. I questioned the local bike store riders and they recommended either the g-form knee pads or these ones. The g-form didn’t have as much protection but were much less bulkier. I opted for the more protection and hoped to have an all day comfort type feel. I took them out today and rode for 2.5 hours and I could barely notice that they were on. They didn’t hinder my pedaling, nor did they make my legs hot which was fantastic. I’m 5’9 and the M/L size fits fantastic for me.

The best knee pads are the ones you don’t notice. That’s these. I’m 6’1″ 190, pretty lean…these fit fantastic without cinching the straps very much. No binding or marks on my legs after using them. Saved my ass in the rock garden once already.

Cheapest indemnity ever. Having been a Motocrosser there is no shame in padding up in my mind…I’ve got Fox elbow pads, TLD armored shorts, and these TLDs every ride and its not that terrible were I bike. Puddles are more the problem right now.
