This review is from: High Lifter (SPRHR420) Rear Lift Spring (Automotive)
I wanted to stiffen the tail-end of my 2008 Honda Rancher as I have a drop basket on the back that I normally tote a 16 gallon sprayer in, on top of sometimes riding 2-up. This spring helped in that regard, and the suspension will not bottom out with that obscene load. Ride quality seems unaffected, and honestly, I really can’t tell a difference in performance other than the skill to have weight on the rear-end and not sag as much. Installation wasn’t too terrible. Took me maybe an hour, and I am not a 4-wheeler mechanic. Anyone who knows their way nearly their 4-wheeler can probably get this on in about 15 minutes. I finished up buying the Spring Compression tool as well as a dirt bike jack/lift, as I just didn’t reckon it was going to be safe to Hillbilly it up with ratchet straps, blocks etc. Lift the ATV, strap in the swing arm so it doesn’t drop when you take out the shock bolts, take out the two bolts, take out shock, install new spring on shock, re-install shock onto ATV. Not too terrible.
