’12 F-250 Front Blinker. OEM comparable performance, but make sure you check if a blinker resistor is needed,
Most LED bulbs make brightness claims and don’t exactly meet those claims.
I bought the JDM ASTARs as I had fantastic success with their 921 white LED lights, which I used to replace the bed lights in my F-250. They were slightly brighter than stock and the exact affect of white. They look OEM.
These are perfectly amber, exactly how your halogen blinkers are. The blink isn’t quite as noticeable as halogen, but I am nit-picking. I prefer the crisp action of LEDs, so I am pleased.
The wits I took a star off was due to the fact that I had to install an extra part. I read through the entire description and it was claimed that these would work in most vehicles, without error. While I had no issues using as a blinker, when I twisted on the lights and used them as a blinker, I developed the “hyper blink” effect. This is because the dim part was lit and when the bright (blinker) part was activated, there was not enough draw and it came up as a bulb failure.
The seller was very excellent and told me I needed to buy 50w 6ohm Resistors (amazon.com/gp/product/B00GQ2TC14/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). As you can see by the photo, changing these bulbs required the removal of the grill and headlight assembly; not exactly a 5-minute job. The resistors worked like a charm and these bulbs now work exactly as they should.
The picture is of the parking light setting (dim). If you stand back a few more feet, they start to “fill” the entire light by reflecting off all surfaces.
All in all, you will be pleased with these. They are built well and the company is reputable. Simply know that you will either have to reprogram your BCM ($125 from Ford, which is why I opted for the resistors) or add resistors, if your vehicle does not currently utilize LED blinkers.
