I had a choke cable that was nearly completely frozen. I had to place a small black tape nearly the end of the cable to help it seal surpass (since it was flattened by the hold down). But, between using this kit and spraying lubricant at the other end (and working the cable several times) the cable now WORKS JUST LIKE NEW! I wish I would have had this years ago to keep from having to replace stuck choke cables. One thing to note, is if your cable’s plastic / rubber sheathing is broken or naughtily hurt, the lubricant will leak out of those areas and will not flow all the way through the cable (black tape may help seal those areas). That happened to me on one of my tractor choke cables, but this product subdue helped improve that cables action, just not as excellent as the other cable.

Bought this not to lube a bike cable but to lube a car hood release cable that
was binding. I didn’t want to have to take out the fender to replace the cable.

Even though this wasn’t the proposed use for this bicycle cable lubricator
it worked perfectly! I avoided the cost of a new cable and the time it would
    have taken to replace it.

the clamp leak oil so it never fully pressurizes. I’d say get one that has screws on both sides. word
