    Fantastic shoe!, July 6, 2014

I usually wear a 11.5 or 12 but got these in a 12 and they fit well due to the stiffness caused by the protective aspects of the shoe. The waterproof liner can get warm, but it works well in the rain which is a honest tradeoff. The grip from the tread seems to work well for me in wet or dry conditions. I thought I would miss not having a raised heel like most boots, but haven’t noticed it at all. They are honestly comfortable to walk in too, but the high ankles are just slightly less comfortable than a habitual tennis shoe. Again a honest trade for the added protection in my attitude. I would order another pair when these wear out.

I have a Harley Breakout and as everyone knows shifting on any Harley after a few hours can be a pain in the top of your foot. Well the toe protector on these boots work fantastic, no more sore huge toe. They seem to be pretty sturdy all nearly and I have used them in the rain with dry feet. The only wits I did not give them 5 stars is because one of the bottom eyes is slightly out of line with the other was going to send them back for this wits but after wearing them chose to keep them because they are fantastic boots!

I bought a pair of these to try out about a month ago. I’m military, MSF and Harley Rider Coach certified so, I have to walk the walk if I’m going to talk the talk about having proper protection gear to beginner riders and my Soldiers. With this being said, here is my thoughts on these shoes.
They do run a tad bit generous. I probably could have gotten by with a 1/2 size smaller but the small extra room allows me to wear thicker socks. Overall, the fit is excellent.
They are holding up pretty excellent. About 2 weeks ago, the small Cortech emblems on the back of the heels fell of while I was riding. Does this affect the performance of the shoes, no. Just a small disappointment. I contacted the seller/shipper of them directly as well as Cortech and they have given me a return authorization excellent for 30 days. I haven’t sent them back yet because they’re that comfortable and I don’t want to revert back to any of my other boots for riding.
They are very comfortable. I ride everyday to and from my home and unit so these shoes have about 2,000 miles on them all ready. When I get home, I don’t even bother to change out of them unless I’m doing some yard work or something in the garage that could result in them getting covered in grease or oil.
They did take about 2-3 days to get broken in where they didn’t rub my ankles.
They did squeak a small for those first couple of days like others have mentioned in their reviews. But it seemed to depend on the surface I was walking on. They don’t make a sound now.
Am I pleased with them? Yes.
Have I recommended them to others? Yes.
Am I as well as others waiting to see how well they really wear and how long they last? Yes.
Would I buy them again? Yes.
I will update this review sometime in the future.
