    Fantastic Ramp, December 29, 2012

This review is from: Glide Racing Aluminum Dirt bike Ramp PR-06
It’s hard to tell by the pics, but this is a fantastic ramp.
I use mine for dirt bikes. I’m not sure if it would work with street bikes, mainly those with wide tires.
The ramp is very light and simple to handle.
It has raised edges which pretty much keep your tire from slipping off the side. If you’re not careful and push hard, the tire will run off, but it’s rare.
It has holes drilled in it which make it light and allow water and dirt to pass thru.
The ramp has a tongue which is meant to sit on your raised deck. There’s some non-skid material on the underneath which works as it should.
This ramp is pretty long. It’s probably excellent for pickup trucks etc. I’m using it on a box trailer which is a max of 20″ off the ground. I could cut this thing in half and it would work fine. The issue is, you’ll need space behind your trailer(or whatever your ramping onto). You have to figure the ramp part + the part of your bike + space to make your approach- figure like 20′. OK, that’s it. No huge deal, but it is what it is.
This product is nicely made and I’d recommend it to anyone. I was using a 6′ 2×12 and I’m much more pleased with the lighter ramp.
I reckon I paid $50, but later saw similar ones for $30.
